Guatemala


Guatemala is home to some of the world's greatest coffee and agricultural practices that focus on quality over quantity. Coffee at lower altitudes grows faster, whereas at higher altitudes coffee plants have to work harder to grow, thereby producing more complex acids within the coffee fruit. The microclimate of a region where a particular coffee is grown impacts the flavor of that coffee significantly. Guatemalan coffee farmers take advantage of this fact to the fullest, cultivating coffee in all possible microclimates. When it comes to cultivating coffee, the best way I like to to describe Guatemalan coffee farmers is *passionately detailed*.
